The grief ministry team recognizes the difficulties that come with the death of a loved one and work to reach out to provide support to those who are dealing with a recent loss. If you or someone you know is struggling with grief please contact us here or look through our resources for some other forms of support.
Vision
To be the hands of Christ, reaching out to those in the Bethlehem church family who are grieving the loss of a loved one, assuring them they need not journey alone.
We will serve the congregation by:
-reaching out to those who are grieving the loss of spouse, parent, child or sibling through visits, cards, phone calls, and other areas as determined appropriate and needful
-providing information on grief resources, i.e. books, support groups, presentations
-continually evaluating and developing ways of best serving in this area of ministry, training and development of grief ministry team members and ancillary help.
We will serve those who are grieving by:
-listening to them
-praying with and for them
-walking with them through the first year
-maintaining strict confidentiality
This is a newer ministry, hoping to add to our numbers, men and women to help serve in this area. All you need are a listening ear and a willingness "to serve those in our church family who are grieving..." This group meets for about an hour on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 11:00am.
